What a beautiful day it is, he's laughing, running straight for the slide, with his arms reaching straight out before he even got there. You turn around to park your stroller and as you turn back around, he's gone. That fear grows inside of you as you quickly scan through the playground for him, your heart beats faster and faster..
Oh, he was just hidden under the slide...
What is a GPS Tracker?
A GPS tracking system uses the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) network. This network incorporates a range of satellites that use microwave signals that are transmitted to GPS devices to give information on location, vehicle speed, time and direction
What does it do?
GPS trackers continuously log and report location information at predetermined intervals usually ranging from every few seconds to every few hours. There are various ways to access the continuous feed. Mostly using apps and a computer with Internet access, you can immediately access the location and movement information. Real time GPS trackers require a subscription-based GPS tracking service.
What could you use it for?
- immediate tracking of a teen driver
- school bus locations
- trips to concerts, carnivals or larger events
- exchange student school trips
- overseas family holidays
- children with special needs
- set proximities to be notified whether your child has gone out of range
- another form of telecommunication
